Session Description: The goal of this session is to provide tools and tips for Museum Retail Professionals to efficiently create extraordinary content for their social media and ecommerce platforms.

While most Cultural Institutions have Photography Departments, most Retail Directors (even at large institutions) do not have easy access to this resource. In this session, I will showcase studio spaces for different budgets and space constraints and will advocate for dedicated studio space within the backend of the museum store.

Four basic DIY steps will be covered:

1. Visualization

2. Equipment & Studio Requirements

3. Image Capture

4. Image Editing

It’s basic Photo 101, but the goal of this session is to encourage attendees to place their iPhone Camera settings on Manual to better understand the iPhone and its correlative apps. Attendees will leave with the photo skills and the desire necessary to tell engaging Retail Stories with their new iPhone toolkit.
