MSA Southwest Central Chapter Fall Meeting

Meet us in Austin, Texas for sites, bites and museum retail education.  Listen to the music and catch up with your MSA friends!

Lonestar Sunset Bat Tour 6:30 - 7:30 pm Open-Air Boat
 - You may want to bring a light jacket/no restroom on boat
 - Katy Murphy will bring light snacks and beverages. The boat tour is BYOB.

The Life of a Product with Jessica from Golden Island + Ask A Vendor Q&A

We’ll go into detail about how a museum store product comes to life. Golden Island, Mattr Boome, & Narrative Material.
We can give a detailed explanation on what it’s like to procure goods, materials, and import orders large and small in 2025.
At the end, we will give the floor to our museum buyers to ask vendors anything about the current trade war, realistic production capabilities, and challenges.

2:15-3:30pm Round Table sessions for Vendors & Institutions

  • For Institution Members: Buying & Budgeting for 2026
  • For Institution Members: Engaging with our local community & commerce partners.
  •  For Vendors: Trade Flipped - How are you navigating global trade? How are you doing? How can MSA help in relaying messages regarding trade?
