VISUAL MERCHANDISING & THE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
Presenter: Kacey Bengtson
Session Description:
Visual Merchandising has a major effect on not only the store presentation, but also the customer experience. The way items are presented will affect visual interest, customer interaction, and ultimately – sales. This session will discuss how best to organize products on shelves and tables, how to create visual interest, how to increase customer interaction with products and how merchandising can increase your KPIs. We will also discuss ideal timelines for display changes, windows, feature tables and floor sets – which can be different for everyone depending on institution type and store traffic. Starting points for merchandising shelves and tables will also be presented – offering a great training tool for Managers to share with staff who want to learn how to merchandise but need the basic tools to feel confident starting a project from scratch. Store layout, fixture choices and fixture modifications will also be touched on, as the products environment also affects how it presents to customers. This session will be most helpful to those who are beginning to explore visual merchandising, those looking to train others on visual merchandising or those who feel “stuck” with their current store setup and want to think creatively about how to reimagine their space.
