Knowledge Standards: Merchandise Planning; Operations; Financial Management; Human Resources; Strategic Management

Session Description: After many years of management & operation with a for-profit concessionaire company, this session will explore the process undertaken by Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum (PHAM) to establish their own own control of the store at their site.  This case study will provide insight into the process led by PHAM Executive Director, Elissa Lines, and show how PHAM stakeholders identified where the concessionaire failed and how and what was done to create and develop a stronger preventative operation in full support of the PHAM mission and revenue generation.  Finally, the session also briefly explores the importance of MSA relationships and how they (and MSA) contribute to the greater good of our industry.
