Session Description: Join us for a panel discussion with MSA NEXT young professionals! MSA NEXT is a committee of the Museum Store Association, composed of working professionals dedicated to encouraging and enabling a culture of inclusion, collaboration, technology, and innovation that engages current and future young professionals in the advancement of the nonprofit retail industry. This panel discussion will give you the opportunity to know a selection of NEXTers individually, get to know what they’re about as a group and what their lives are like at the workplace. As a young professional, this will be a great opportunity to network and gain advice on how to best prepare for your future career in nonprofit retail. As a seasoned professional, take advantage of the opportunity to listen and engage with a group of passionate young professionals to gain some insights on engaging with future leaders in the nonprofit cultural industry. The discussion will include: Small introductions from each panelist. A brief introduction from the committee to explain their role within MSA, a short slide presentation with some ongoing COVID-impact nonprofit retail data, and some prepared questions for the panelists to get the conversation started. A panel discussion with Q+A Bring any questions you have, whether it be about nonprofit retail work from a young professional’s perspective, or about how they see their future, and that of their peers, in the nonprofit cultural world.
